  1. Open battery compartment door and remove battery (typically in the basement or separate room to the panel)
  2. Disconnect negative (black) terminal first, then positive (red) terminal.
  3. Insert new battery. Attach positive (red) terminal, then negative (black) terminal.
  4. Close battery compartment door.
  5. Recycle old battery.
